Jaime Escalante was an Inspiration!

Geez, has it really been 22 years since the movie ‘Stand and Deliver’ came out?

I don’t know about you, but it’s one of my favorites. If you haven’t seen it, you MUST Netflix it. You may have to wait awhile though, because I’m sure there will be people like me that want to watch it again and be inspired by the story of Jaime Escalante and his class.

Sadly, Mr. Escalante died, Tuesday, March 30th. Hearing this made me sad.

He once said that in order to be a good teacher, you must see the potential in EVERY child. Amazing.

By the way, I STILL use the multiply by 9 trick that he ‘taught’ me in the movie.
